A California
clinic is training Labrador Retrievers to sniff
and detect lung cancer in humans in the same manner that is used to train
drug sniffing dogs.
The
canine were presented with breath samples of cancer patients and of robust
people that was secreted in plastic containers if the dog smelled cancer it sat
down and received a treat.
The
canines have a 99 percent accurancy and could
some day be used to warn its owner about cancers insidious
incipientness.
